- Open a browser such as Mozilla Firefox
- Connect to the broadband voice adapter by typing http://192.168.0.1 in the address field of your browser, and then click Enter.
- When prompted, enter admin for the router username, and password for the router password ( in lower case letters ). Step 2: Configuring your SIP settings
- Go to the VoIP settings Page by clicking http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi
Or copy and paste http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?next_file=voice/set_voip.htm into your web browser. - Enter the username: admin, and password: password if necessary
- Enter SIP proxy: sip.faktortel.com.au
- For the SIP control port enter: 5060
- For the SIP local control port enter: 5060
- Outbound proxy: sip.faktortel.com.au
- For the Outbound Proxy port enter: 5060
- Enter RTP start port as: 16384
- You can disable VAD for better quality calls ( silent suppression ) Step 3: Configuring your Faktortel Account
- Display Name: Your FaktorTel USER ID
- Telephone Number: Your FaktorTel USER ID
- Username: Your FaktorTel USER ID
- The password field will require Your FaktorTel PASSWORD
- For the register expires field, enter 900
- or the register head start field, enter 843

NOTICE:
If you are using firmware version " 5.01.14 " on the NON-VOIP ( just DG834 ) router,
netgear has a known issue where voice traffic is treated as an attack on the network and therefore causes jittery voice.
To rectify this, please contact netgear to downgrade your firmware. Step 1: Accessing your Netgear DG834GV
