After signing up with an account at FaktorTel, you will need to download the Softfone from:
http://www.3cx.com/VOIP/voip-phone.html
Open your now installed softphone by going to your Start Menu,
then across to All Programs and 3CX Phone.
Click on the 3CX icon in here and you should be presented with your softphone.

Now we need to get into the SIP Setting Menu for your FaktorTel account.
Here is how to do it:
Right click anywhere on the phone interface and select " Connection " from the main menu

You will now be presented with the " connection settings " menu screen.
Below are the sections that need to be filled in:
Profile: FaktorTel
Extension: FaktorTel USER ID
ID: FaktorTel USER ID
Password: FaktorTel PASSWORD
My Location / I am out of the office – external IP: sip.faktortel.com.au

We now need to go into the " Advanced Settings " button and make the following changes:
Audio Codec's: GSM
STUN server: stun1.faktortel.com.au

Click the OK button, then OK again to return back to the main interface of the softfone

There are a few quick automated numbers you can dial to check that everything is working.
These are:
Service Time: 123
Echo Test ( Hear your own voice ): 600
Connect to FaktorTel's PBX: 900
Any Australian 1800 Number: 1800 - XXX - XXX
